Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or using AM Scholastic's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are a parent or guardian registering on behalf of a minor, you are agreeing to these terms on behalf of that minor.

2. Service Description

AM Scholastic provides free, volunteer-based virtual tutoring for students in grades 3–10. All tutoring sessions are conducted online via video call. There is no cost to participate as a student or as a tutor.

3. Eligibility

Students: Must be enrolled in grades 3–10. Registration must be completed by a parent or guardian.
Tutors: Must be current high school students enrolled in grades 9–12. Tutor registration also requires parent or guardian consent.

4. Tutor Disclaimer

Important Notice

Tutors are high school student volunteers. They have not undergone professional vetting, background checks, certification, or formal training. AM Scholastic makes no representations about tutor qualifications, credentials, or suitability beyond basic eligibility requirements.

Parents and guardians are responsible for independently assessing whether the program is appropriate for their child.

5. Parental Responsibility

A parent or guardian must supervise or be immediately accessible during all virtual tutoring sessions involving minors. By registering a student, the parent or guardian acknowledges this responsibility.

6. No Guarantee of Outcomes

AM Scholastic makes no guarantees regarding academic improvement, grades, test scores, or any other educational outcomes. Results will vary based on individual student effort, learning needs, and other factors.

7. Session Conduct

All sessions must be conducted respectfully and professionally. AM Scholastic reserves the right to remove any participant — student or tutor — who engages in disrespectful, harmful, or inappropriate behavior. Decisions regarding removal are at the sole discretion of AM Scholastic administrators.

8. Limitation of Liability

AM Scholastic, its founders, administrators, and volunteers are not liable for any harm, loss, injury, or damages of any kind arising from participation in tutoring sessions, scheduling issues, technical failures, or any other aspect of the program. Participation is entirely voluntary and at the participant's own risk.

9. Organizational Status

AM Scholastic is not currently a registered legal entity (nonprofit, LLC, or otherwise). This status may change in the future. These terms are entered into with AM Scholastic as an informal organization.

10. Termination

Either party may withdraw from the program at any time without penalty. AM Scholastic reserves the right to terminate a participant's access to the program for any reason, including violation of these terms or conduct standards.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [State — TBD by Aavan]. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify registered participants of material changes via email. Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
